"My wife and I stayed at Bergzicht at the end of a Namibian holiday, late February 2010. It was planned as a taster of Africa for a longer hunting trip another year. What an eye-opener! Africa took our breath away. Bergzicht was everything I had hoped for. Game abounded. In the three short days at my disposal, my feet never touched the ground. Hannes, who I had initially contacted, was on a promotional tour in the US. His charming wife Geraldine held the fort and Ehrens was the PH. Ehrens and his team are very, very good. One soon began to realise that very high trophy standards are the by-word. Time and time again we moved on to find a better animal. The trophies I took were Blue Wildebeest, Black Wildebeest, Oryx, Springbok and Red Hartebeest. There were many opportunities to take considerably more game including Kudu, Zebra and Warthog. The game lodge itself is very well appointed and is built in the African style with beams and thatch forming a huge open-plan room, where we dined and sat around admiring the trophies on the walls. Other accommodation radiated from this area. My wife is not a hunter. However, after the first day, she chose to join us in the safari jeep and never looked back. She was able to share this incredible experience with me. We've all heard of the ability of African trackers following difficult trails. I've seen it at Bergzicht with Marcus and Obet. Watching them work is one of my special memories of the trip.
I'm glad I discovered Bergzicht and hope to return one day."
